Biography
Dr. Anirban Bagui is an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Physics at Garhbeta College, affiliated to Vidyasagar University. He teaches undergraduate physics, electronics, and BCA courses. As an experimental condensed matter physicist, his research focuses on renewable energy, particularly organic photovoltaics (OPV). Dr. Bagui earned his M.Sc-Ph.D. in Physics from IIT Kanpur, conducting doctoral research and working on a Ministry of New and Renewable Energy project at Samtel Centre for Display Technologies. Post-PhD, he contributed as a senior project associate at the National Centre for Flexible Electronics. His career also includes roles as Research Associate and SERB-National Postdoctoral Fellow at CSIR-IICT Hyderabad, postdoctoral research on Perovskite Solar Cells at NTU Singapore, and Assistant Professor at IIEST Shibpur under the DST-INSPIRE faculty scheme. He also worked as a Fulbright Postdoctoral Scholar at North Carolina State University with Prof. Harald Ade, advancing OPV research.
